Packaging Technology has introduced the latest KLD 1043 version, an inspection system that comes with an output of up to 36,000 items per hour, at Achema 2012.

The device works on SD (static division) technology, developed by Eisai Machinery, which is based on the detection of moving particles in pharmaceutical liquid, that enables the inspection of filling levels.

Manual inspection devices are used for smaller batch sizes, customized applications, and the firm is presenting manual, semi-automated and fully automated inspection machines from Eisai Machinery that can also be combined with the pin-hole detection machines.

The semi-automated inspection machines from the VIS series enable particle and cosmetic inspection as various containers can be examined for manufacturing flaws like foreign particles, cracks and other defects.

The fully automated units can be connected to upstream and downstream filling and closing lines, and several inspection machines, labelers and cartoners.

Bosch Packaging Technology product group inspection technology head Joachim Baczewski said the incorporation of Eisai Machinery strengthens safety of customers.
